The Champagne Rosé Rose de Craie by Étienne Calsac is the result of 98% Chardonnay coming from the parcels in Avize and Bisseuil (Côte des Blancs) and 11% Pinot Noir grown in Montagne de Reims, from vineyars aged 30. Brut dosage (7 g/l) for this Champagne Rosé with a limited production of 1,300 bottles.
In 2010, at the age of 26, Etienne became responsible for his family's domaine: 2.8 hectares of vineyards, aged 30, spread between Avize, Grauves and Bisseuil. His goal is ensuring that all grapes are grown under the Lutte raisonnée methodes. Etienne personally controls the grape pressing, before they are mixed and adds his personal touch to the already severe quality checkings. All bottles rest on yeasts for 36 months and after degorgement for 3 more months. The potential is unlimited, contrary to its cherished limited edition Champagnes.
