Description:

A fascinating blend of Meunier and Chardonnay produced from one of the very few Clos in the whole of Champagne. A wonderfully balanced dosage of 4 g/l, creates a crisp, clean wine with lovely nutty notes and herbaceous notes on the mid palate. You sense a delicate use of oak, (even though it is fully oak vinified) and the richness of the 60 year old vines really comes through on the mid-to-late. A fascinating wine from a challenging vintage.

Winemaker:

Both the Goutorbe and Bouillot family have a history of winemaking dating back to the early 18th century but they came together in the 1930s when Pierrette Bouillot and Jules Goutorbe married.

The house is now managed by Dominique and Bastien and they look after 8 hectares, under both HVE and VD in the village of Damery. The wines show a lovely play of freshness alongside a brilliant touch of maturity.
